The TS2020 ambition is to increase visitor spend across Scotland by £1 billion, from £4.5 to £5.5 billion, by 2020. A mighty task, we know. But not impossible – and we all have our part to play.
Within this ambition, business events is identified as a major strength and key area for growth. Business visitors to Scotland account for one quarter of total expenditure.
TS2020 encourages us to focus on our customers, in particular those markets which will offer the greatest potential to grow. By understanding these trends and working together with businesses, travel trade and other professionals, we can provide the experiences visitors to Scotland want.
