Kathleen Warden was appointed Director of Conferences Sales for the SECC in March 2014, and has fulfilled a number of roles for the company since joining in 2000 as the Sales Manager for UK associations. This was her introduction to the world of business tourism, having spent 7 years in destination marketing both in the UK and overseas.
Committed to promoting Glasgow, Scotland and the UK for business events and conferences, Kathleen has loved being part of the industry’s evolution and its growing recognition as a major driver for economic prosperity and inward investment. Kathleen is passionate about seeing this success continue long into the future.

A great business event for me is one at which I meet clients, whilst at the same time learn and encounter challenging and disruptive thinking. With all of this in mind, the best events for me are the annual events organised by the Leading Centres of Europe where international association congress decision makers meet with some of Europe’s top conference venues. These are highly targeted events where extraordinary business partnerships are formed which always result in great events taking place at the SECC.
